Guild’s US awards triumph

Neil Murray with Essentially America Editor (and Guild stalwart) Mary Moore Mason

A night of triumph for Guild members at the Visit USA Association’s Media Awards event at London’s St Ermin’s Hotel. Neil Murray was named Travel Writer of the Year for a portfolio of writing in Essentially America magazine, the Scottish Sunday Mail and other publications.

Aaron Millar took top prize in the Best Newspaper category for From Politics and Power to a Cabin on the Coast, published in the Times.

Kerry Christiani took the award for Best Online Feature with On the Trail in Utah – Best Hikes of the Southwest’s Rock Star, written for Lonely Planet.

And Sarah Lee (with colleague Emma Buchan and the Captivate Digital Media team) was named Best Digital Influencer for Drive US1: A Great American Road Trip.
