It is with great sadness that we have to report that Melissa Shales died peacefully at home on Christmas morning. She was surrounded by her partner Mark and her close family.
For those of us who were lucky enough to know her, both as a friend and as one of the best BGTW Chairs and long-time committee members ever, we will think back on the good times.
For those newer members who didn’t know Mel, I will write a longer obituary this week. She was a wonderful writer, editor, all-round funny and sympathetic person and she gave so much to the Guild.
