The founders of BritMums, Jennifer Howze and Susanna Scott, both members of the BGTW, turned to another BritMum and BGTW member, Kirstie Pelling, to open the annual BritMums Live! (#BML16) conference yesterday, with a specially commissioned poem marking its fifth year, ‘BritMums We Are Live’.
They certainly are.
The sell-out one day conference offered a busy programme to the 500 delegates who packed the main hall, four breakout rooms, three lounges and the ‘hub’ (networking area) at the The Brewery events venue next to the Barbican in London.
In addition to the keynote lifestyle presentations, and practical skills workshops on photography, video creation, email marketing, SEO, affiliate marketing, understanding Google Analytics, and building a Youtube audience, there were also some travel-related sessions.
BGTW Chair, Alastair McKenzie, was on the Travel Blogging panel for ‘What Leading Coverage and Travel Social Media Looks Like Now’, and BGTW member, Susan L. Schwartz co-presented a session on ‘How to Work Smart with PRs’.
BritMums is the UK’s largest collective of 8,000+ lifestyle bloggers and digital influencers creating content on food, parenting, travel, politics, style and more.
