It is with great sadness that the Guild reports the death of its former member Christine Fagg, ballerina turned travel writer. Colleague Mary Anne Evans remembers her as a “charming, small elegant lady always with a delightful smile, a wry wit and time for everybody, and pretty strong minded as will”. That strong mindedness no doubt came in handy when she was driving motorhomes, solo, in countries around the world. Our archivist John Ruler recalls her “boundless energy and enthusiasm” and her “encouragement to new members did much to promote the guild as a force long before the advent of websites and social media”.
