Apply to join

After completing and submitting the online application form, it will be sent to the membership secretary. Please provide full details and evidence of your published or broadcast work as well as a recent, high resolution (at least 300dpi) passport-size and style photo (if successful, the photo will be used in your membership profile, so smiles are good, but, please, no sunglasses, hats or face coverings).

Any questions should be sent by email to the Guild membership secretary Jennie Carr.

Membership interviews: If you are considered eligible for membership an interview will be arranged with the Guild committee, usually at one of its regular monthly meetings held at a central London venue. (In advance, the Membership Secretary may check the information given in support of an application.) The applicant’s profile and photo will also be circulated to the membership at large through the Guild’s monthly, members-only Globetrotter newsletter. If the applicant passes both of these checks, the Guild Secretariat, who will handle the paperwork and finances of the application, will contact applicants. If there are any questions, the applicant will be contacted by the Membership Secretary.

Membership fees: The annual subscription is £160. There is also a one-off joining fee of £50. The subscription is pro rata if a new member is elected during the Guild’s financial year, which runs from October to September.
