Biography

Katy Dartford is a travel and adventure journalist based between London and the French Alps, with bylines in The Telegraph, The Guardian, National Geographic Traveller, Condé Nast Traveller, the i Paper and Sidetracked, among others.
Her work focuses on mountain culture, adventure, history and human stories. She brings a background in international broadcast — BBC, LBC, Euronews and the United Nations — to long-form travel journalism, and is a 2026 Inspired Global Media Awards winner (South America category).
A trail runner, ski tourer, climber and mountain biker, she writes from lived experience in wild places. She is currently completing an MA in Ancient History at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
