Biography
I am a travel writer, columnist and author from Ireland. I write for Woman’s Way and the Belfast Telegraph, along with The Sunday Times, The Irish Times, Irish Independent, Sunday Independent, Irish Examiner, Ireland of the Welcomes, Irish Central, Wanderlust, Travel Weekly and Family Traveller, amongst others. I was also the author of Rough Guides Mini Guide to Dublin (2025) and wrote the sustainability section of Insights Guides' Colorado edition (2025).I have received many national and international awards for my writing, including Travel Extra Travel Journalist of the Year in 2024 and 2025 and Travel Media Ireland's Travel Writer of the Year in 2025. In the UK, I won Feature of the Year (Regional Publication) at the 2024 and 2025 Travel Media Awards and was also a winner at the Visit USA UK Media Awards and British Guild of Travel Writers Members' Excellence Awards.
Mercier Press, Ireland’s oldest publishing house, released my novels, Colin and the Concubine (“Hilarious” – RTE.ie), Crazy for You (‘Genuinely hilarious, charmingly intelligent’ – The Irish Times) and The Wonderful Life of Connie Maguire ('A stunning page-turner' – The Sun). My debut, Sister Agatha: The World's Oldest Serial Killer, was recently re-published by Bloodhound Books, with a sequel to follow in 2026.
