Biography
Fran Bridgewater is a vibrantly commercial food, drinks and travel writer and keen photographer with over two decades of experience elevating premium drinks brands in client-side and agency environments, specialising in iconic wineries and start-ups.A respected TV, podcast and radio personality, Fran is a natural communicator fluent in French and Spanish. As the founder of Wine Jobs Global, she was an IWSC Awards 2021 finalist, recognised for
supporting over 2,000 wine, spirits and hospitality professionals during the post-pandemic recovery.
Fran’s expertise spans moderating international conferences, transcribing precise tasting notes for the International Wine & Spirit Competition and judging gourmet food and beverages for renowned awards including the Great Taste Awards, International Wine Challenge, Bellavita and Glass of
Bubbly Awards.
As a Consultant Flying Sommelière, Fran collaborates on high-end promotional tastings and events with clients such as Decanter, Inflorescence Wines and Tesco plc. She played a pivotal role in strategy and cornerstone sponsorships for the establishment of the Gérard Basset Foundation, the new Libération Tardive Foundation and leads the Global Ambassador team for World Chardonnay Day, annually.
Her passion for viticulture and motorsport sees her annually apprenticing at English vineyards, honing practical skills with an eye to one day running a boutique vineyard in southwest France. Mentored by luminaries such as Mike Ritchie MW, Christopher Burr MW and Hugh Sturges (former
CEO of Berry Bros), she actively participates in blending trials with leading UK winemakers and contributes insightful articles to trade publications. She currently writes for The Buyer, Eat North Media, Fine Wine & Champagne India, Liquid magazine and The West Dorset Magazine as Vittles Correspondent and
is European Editor for Andes Wines … the world’s 7th wine news channel.
