Freelance travel writer, author, photographer and editor specialising in the nexus of travel, wildlife and conservation. Author of four books (for Helm/Bloomsbury & Bradt Guides) out in 2024-25, covering Spain, France, Iberia more widely, and the Pantanal (Brazil/Bolivia/Paraguay). Updating the Bradt Guide to the Arctic, to be published in 2026. Recent travel bylines in The Telegraph, BBC Countryfile, BBC Wildlife and BirdWatching. Editor of Neotropical Birding, the only magazine to focus on birdwatching activities in Central & South America. Monthly columnist for BirdWatching magazine. Constant feature writer for BirdLife magazine. Nature-tour leader for Wildlife Travel (covering UK, Europe, Africa).
