Biography

I'm a writer/editor with nearly 20 years' experience, specialising in hiking and the outdoors. I've written for publications including Walk magazine, The Great Outdoors, Waterfront, Ernest, Time Out and WildBounds, covering a range of domestic and international destinations from Nepal to Andorra.

I have a special interest in the Scandinavian countries – particularly Norway and Sweden. I've taken many trips there over the years in both summer and winter, and have walked several of the big long-distance routes including the Kungsleden, Troms Border Trail, St Olav pilgrim path and the 1400km Gröna Bandet (Green Ribbon) along the length of the Scandinavian mountain range.
