Biography
Trailblazing photojournalist and book author, Juliet Coombe is an inspiring storyteller who worked with Miguel Cunat to create the multi award winning Pekoe Trail across the mountains of Sri Lanka, which Time Magazine listed as one of The World’s Greatest Places of 2025. Juliet while based in Asia has also written numerous books about the continent including Asia’s Best Hotel and Villa guides. Whilst living in the ancient city of Galle Fort she researched and wrote Around The Galle Fort in 80 Lives, the first guide to the North and the East Sri Lanka’s Other Half, Generation Tea, Colombo City Guide, The Power Of Sri Lankan Art, and a ground breaking environmental guide, Paradise Exorcised, for Premium brand Jetwing Hotels & Travels. She created the Mayflower Sea Change book & guide to 400 things to see and do in Plymouth during lockdown with a fascinating look at how we will live and travel over the next 400 years. She is currently part of an exciting team putting together Around The World In 65 Years, whilst working on a game changing book on the power of Tropical Landscaping in Sri Lanka.Juliet is deeply passionate about the wild and the importance of bio diversity and is developing a travel documentary on the most important gardeners of all Sri Lanka’s wild elephants. Her work has appeared in Lonely Planet guide books, Insight Guides, Metro travel sections, Get Lost Travel Magazine in Australia, The Sunday Times, Muddy Stiletto and Daily News. Her next project will be retracing the transatlantic route and will be on the inaugural PAN AM private Jet flight as it returns to the skies in June 2025.
