Having travelled extensively while growing up, I went on to study history of the Middle East at SOAS in London. After graduating in 2006, I headed east to Hong Kong, where my career in travel writing began when I was offered an internship as an editorial assistant at AsiaSpa magazine. After nearly six months of learning the ropes and being mentored by an excellent editor, I joined ReviewAsia (a small start-up magazine) as a full time editorial assistant dedicated to populating the travel, luxury, and lifestyle sections of the monthly magazine.

I returned to the UK in 2009, and joined a Shoreditch based digital agency as a staff writer and web editor, where I gained hugely valuable knowledge and experience of digital marketing, media, and online publishing. My next role in 2012 was as the online editor for a luxury website, Insignia Lifestyle Boutique, which combined these various aspects while covering travel, art and more. I then moved to become content editor for in 2013.

Day to day, I manage our content schedule and liaise with our growing band of contributors (30+). I commission and edit all external articles for publication, as well as write travel blogs, articles, and website content.

What’s special about is the vast amount I have learned about the world, geography and our climate. As a resource, be it for holidaymakers or long term travellers, we dedicate numerous guides, articles and blogs to sharing details of the best places to travel to depending on the time of year and, of course, budget. This is incredibly interesting, not to mention educational, and furthers my experience in the field of travel daily.

Alongside all this, I have also worked on various freelance projects, which you can see via my online portfolio.
