Biography

I’m a Turkish-Portuguese-British journalist based in London and the founding editor of The Mediterranean Magazine. My reporting lives at the crossroads of food, travel and identity, tracing the flavours, rituals and migrations that knit cultures (especially Mediterranean) to their far-flung diasporas.

After completing my university degrees in ( BA in English Literature and MA in Journalism) in London, I spent two fast-paced years in Istanbul writing and editing for InStyle and Marie Claire before returning to the UK. My bylines now span National Geographic, The i Paper, Serious Eats, TRT World, Escape Artist and Hürriyet Seyahat.

Alongside journalism, I work in B2B marketing where I craft thought-leadership events on sustainability, geopolitics and innovation.

I welcome commissions on foodways, sustainable travel, cultural heritage and the lived experience of migration, always hunting for the human narrative behind place and plate.
