Biography
Writer, editor, commissioning editor and hotel reviewer, with extensive experience of working for leading consumer magazines, national newspapers, client publications and websites. Copenhagen destination expert for Telegraph Travel (for whom I have also reviewed hotels in Cheshire and the Peak District as well as Denmark). Co-author of Slow Travel Cheshire (Bradt Travel Guides; second edition published 2025).Former experience includes being travel editor of Grazia, Cosmopolitan, Olive and assorted contract titles, and co-authoring The Backpacker's Bible (Penguin/Robson). Before becoming a full-time travel writer, I spent months at a time backpacking around Europe, Asia, Australia and North, Central and South America, and lived and worked in France, Greece and South Africa.
