Biography

My book, A Guide to Drinking in Venice, will be published on April 16, 2026!

Though I was born in the U.S., I’ve called London home for more than twenty years. I’m a proud Princeton Tiger and was the university’s first Italian major, later heading to St. John’s College, Cambridge to study Italian Literature (with a minor in Women’s Rugby).

After a successful run in theatre — culminating in producing and starring in the cult Fringe hit *Debbie Does Dallas*, which went on to become an Off-Broadway musical — I swapped scripts for Sgroppini.

In 2011, I founded my luxury travel blog, *Best Bits Worldwide*, which eventually led me deeper into the world of drinks. For the past decade, I’ve written my award-winning drinks and travel blog, *A Lush Life Manual*, and hosted the *Lush Life Podcast*, where I interview some of the best bar industry professionals in the world. My writing has appeared in major publications worldwide, including *Condé Nast Traveler*, *Mail on Sunday*, and *Tonic Magazine*.
