Biography

I am an award-winning travel journalist based in London, with a passion to tell stories about how we can make a positive impact in choosing how we travel. My work delves into themes of responsible tourism with a focus on women, the cultural roots of food and culinary history, astrotourism and sustainable journeys, particularly those made by train.

I'm a regular contributor to The Independent, and have also written for adventure.com, Wanderlust Magazine, The Telegraph, BBC Sky at Night Magazine, Escapism Magazine, iPaper, and New Zealand Herald.

In 2026, I won the Inspire Global Consumer Feature of the Year Award (Europe) and was Highly Commended in the England category – I have also been shortlisted for the TravMedia Rising Star of the Year award.
In 2025, I won Newspaper Feature of the Year Award (Africa and Indian Ocean), the Visit USA Media Award for Rising Star and the Freelancing for Journalists Award for Early Career Journalist.
