Biography
Meera Dattani is executive editor of award-winning website Adventure.com, a freelance travel and culture journalist, and two-times-winner of AITO Travel Writer of the Year – Silver. Focusing on community-led tourism, food and cultural heritage, and wildlife/conservation, bylines include Condé Nast Traveller, National Geographic Traveller, Country & Town House, Olive magazine, Wanderlust, BBC Travel, and the i paper.She has travelled extensively around East Africa (Uganda and Kenya), India, Costa Rica, and Southeast Asia (especially Cambodia) and combines specialisms alongside new destinations such as Senegal, Ecuador, and the Galapagos Islands. Fluent in Italian and Spanish, she also visits both Italy and Spain regularly.
She’s also a mentor, awards judge, and panellist/moderator at events such as TravMedia IMM, Destinations Show, Adventure Travel Show, and RGS. She’s the founder of TravelWritingWebinars which offers informal upskilling for travel journalists, and a former BGTW Chair and Board Director.
