BGTW

Representing writers, photographers, bloggers and broadcasters for 60 years

BGTW Awards – the finalists

The British Guild of Travel Writers (BGTW) is a community of over 250 accredited writers, photographers, bloggers and broadcasters; we are the trusted body for independent editorial comment and expert content on UK and global travel.

Founded in 1960, the BGTW turns 60 years old in 2020 – that’s six decades at the forefront of the travel media industry. All applicants are screened and interviewed in person and all members abide by a strict code of conduct; see out About page for more information.

MEA and ITA finalists

See the finalists of the BGTW Members’ Excellence Awards and International Tourism Awards as announced in a special online event, the BGTW Big Reveal, on 15 November 2020.

What can the British Guild of Travel Writers do for you?

If you’re an editor or producer:

We can help you commission a writer who’s been to Antarctica, or a photographer who has imagery from Zambia – see bgtw.org/connect.

If you work in PR or tourism:

We can help you spread the word about your clients through networking events and sponsorship opportunities – see bgtw.org/sponsor.

If you’re a media professional:

We would love for you to join our community of over 250 writers, bloggers, editors, photographers or broadcasters – see bgtw.org/why-join.

Upcoming and recent events

Being in lockdown doesn’t mean your skills have to lose their edge. Stay sharp with our collection of webinars; BGTW members can rewatch the recordings.
