The Guild runs a busy programme of events throughout the year – some for members only, some for invited guests, and some for paying members of the industry.
Our main public event is the Annual Gala Awards Dinner, on the eve of World Travel Market in November, and our sustainability conference, the BGTW Better World Symposium. Several times a year, we hold parties, including in the summer and at Christmas, as well as workshops and webinars on important topics and skills, presented by top experts from within the Guild and/or outside. We also run a monthly online “BGTW breakfast” social and members receive complimentary access to other external webinars as a members’ benefit.
Members can also apply to our hosted annual trips (which sometimes includes our AGM). In recent years we’ve headed to Malta (2023), Isle of Man (2024), Sri Lanka (2025) and Cyprus (2026), while previous editions have been held in destinations such as Charleston and Oman.
