Travel writer and editor with 20 years’ experience on the Telegraph Travel desk; recently departed for pastures new. Writing, tweeting, broadcasting – all commissions considered! Prior to Telegraph was on The Independent and had seven years as a foreign correspondent in Berlin and Budapest. Love trains and ferries and travelling hopefully – sometimes more than arriving.
