Daniel Stables

Biography

Daniel writes about travel and culture for outlets including BBC Travel, National Geographic Traveller, The Telegraph, The Independent and The Times. His first narrative non-fiction book, Fiesta: A Journey Through Festivity was published in August 2025.

He has also written or contributed to more than 30 guidebooks and coffee table travel books for Rough Guides, L0nely Planet, DK Eyewitness, Insight Guides and Berlitz, and hosts his own podcast, Hungry Ghosts, about food, travel and culture. He also features regularly as a guest on other travel podcasts.
