Award-winning freelance travel writer and photographer since 1985. Contributes frequently to major UK newspapers, travel magazines and luxury titles. Worked as travel editor (print and online) of Marie Claire (2001-16), Elle Decoration (1994–98) and Red (1997–2000). Author and contributor to guidebooks published by Insight Guides, AA/Thomas Cook and Dorling Kindersley.
