Tara Povey

Biography

Born in New Zealand and raised in Ireland, Tara Povey has been blogging for nearly 8 years and is one of the original Irish travel bloggers. She has also undertaken freelance travel writing and content writing, most recently, freelance articles/personal travel essays for RTE.ie. She has also contributed on multiple occasions to The Irish Independent, The Sun and Matador Network.
Now, she focuses mainly on writing for her own blog/social and content creating (photos/videos) for travel brands/tourism boards, through a combination of personal travel and press trips/campaigns. This year, she has worked on campaigns with Visit Derry and Princess Cruises, and has an upcoming content creation campaign with Tennessee Vacation/Tourism. She has also acted and done a voiceover for a Hyatt advert. She is keen to join the BGTW for several reasons including the tourism awards, networking/expanding her network, and for professional development.
