Do you want to improve or refresh your pitching technique? We all know there’s no one answer, but you can increase your chances by doing (and not doing) a few things.

We’ll talk about what makes a good pitch, how to get it noticed and why your email doesn’t get a reply. We’ll discuss best-practice for ‘chasing’/following up’ in a world of stuffed inboxes and how to ask for more money. Plus, anything else that freelancers talk about, but don’t, can’t or are too worried to ask editors.

It will be a frank, open debate with four UK travel editors, going beyond the usual (albeit important) tips of ‘Read the publication first’ and ‘Check we haven’t covered that idea recently’.

Feel free to send questions in advance to [email protected] – we want to ask the questions that you want the answers to! During the debate, the chat box and Q&A will be open too.

Note: While the editors will cover pitching to their specific publication, this event is about how to perfect your pitch in general, drawing on their years of experience as commissioning editors across numerous publications.
